## The race

The 20th edition of the **Carrera Ecológica Dota** will take place next Sunday, February 7th, 2027, starting at 7:00am from the Plazoleta de CoopeDota, in Santa María de Dota. This year you can choose between three distances: 5km, 10km, and 20km. This sporting event takes place along the beautiful roads and trails of Santa María de Dota, a town characterized by the warmth, friendliness, and humility of its people and their love for nature.

**Registration includes**: course support, refreshments, medal, and commemorative t-shirt. All athletes will have the right to choose from the prizes assigned to different categories. There will also be raffles and delicious local coffee.

Distances:

•⁠  ⁠**20K**: Most challenging distance, combines road, gravel, and trail—a technical challenge, **the elevation gain of the route is around 1,000m+.**

•⁠  ⁠**10K**: Fast and challenging distance, combines road and gravel, **the elevation gain of the route is around 400m+.**

•⁠  ⁠**5K** walk: Ideal for enjoying the town, whether running or walking.

Prices:

- **20k**: ¢20,000.
- **10k**: ¢15,000.
- **5k**: ¢13,000.
